Introduced to golf at an early age by his father, James quickly developed a love for the game. He spent five consecutive summers attending a junior golf camp, where the instruction and structure of the program laid the foundation for his passion. By age 15, he was analyzing golf swings and soon became a camp counselor and instructor, teaching fundamentals and mechanics while completing high school and university.

After earning an undergraduate degree in Sports Management from Brock University, he completed a Postgraduate Degree in Professional Golf Management at Humber College. His PGA of Canada career began at The Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto, before moving to Ottawa to join The Meadows Golf and Country Club. During his five years there, he achieved his Class “A” status in 2009. He later accepted a position at Camelot Golf and Country Club, balancing club duties with winter teaching programs.

For the past two years, he's been the Head Teaching Professional at The Meadows, where he has enjoyed tremendous support and success. With decades of experience, he takes pride in helping golfers of all levels improve their game, drawing on a teaching style refined through years of swing analysis, instruction, and a lifelong passion for golf.
